Established in 2012, ACCEC is comprised of preeminent coverage and extracontractual counsel in the United States and Canada, representing the interests of both insurers and policyholders.  The College is focused on the creative, ethical and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes, peer-provided scholarship, professional coordination and the improvement of the relationship between and among our diverse members.  Through its Board of Regents and its working committees, the College engages in a wide variety of activities designed to promote those goals, in addition to improving the civility and the quality of the practice of insurance law.

Bruce Celebrezze Elected ACCEC President

We are pleased to announce that Bruce D. Celebrezze of Sedgwick LLP in San Francisco has been elected President of the College for the 2017-2018 year. Bruce is an accomplished insurance lawyer who has been repeatedly listed in Chambers USA for insurance litigation excellence and has been noted as a “National Insurance Litigation Star” in Benchmark Litigation, in addition to other endorsements. He has spent virtually his entire legal career practicing in insurance coverage litigation. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and 1979 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.

Bruce has undertaken many leadership roles in bar associations such as serving as a senior director in the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and has served as chair of the Insurance division of Sedgwick LLP. He is a member of the President’s Visiting Committee at St. Ignatius High School, Cleveland, Ohio, and was for 16 years a member of the board of trustees, including four years as President, of the Mechanics’ Institute, a nonprofit library in San Francisco.
